Drawing us in with an intricate and emotive piano performance, Eve Gasser opens NADA with a delicate vocal as she sings, “Esta todo normal por aqui, pero por dentro me pasan mil cosas, aunque pensé que nunca iba a ocurrir, lo nuestro ha llegado a su fin…”
In essence, this translates from Spanish as, “Everything seems normal here, but inside, a thousand things are going on, even though I thought it would never happen, our relationship has come to an end…”
NADA is about someone who looks fine on the outside but is actually dealing with a lot of emotional turmoil. Eve sings about a relationship that never became official, but still meant a lot to her. She shares how it ended before it could truly begin, in turn leaving her feeling confused and heartbroken.
She realizes that whilst she thought there was something between them, in reality they were “nada/nothing.” Later in the song, her muse returns as if nothing ever happened. But she’s still hurt and her friends notice she isn’t the same anymore. She references consuming alcohol to try to numb the pain, and the emotional quotient of the song really build here.

In the end, she asks for a moment of silence to reflect on what happened. Eve acknowledges that the subject of her song used to mean a lot to her, but now serves as just a memory. The hook of “nada” repeats like a mantra, and expresses the painful truth that they could have been everything, but they ended up being nothing.
Ultimately, the song is ultimately about unbalanced feelings, notions of heartbreak, and learning to move on from someone who didn’t see her worth. It feels expansive and cathartic, and Eve Gasser‘s vocal performance feels sublime, and authentic to her emotions. There is also a cinematic allure that manifests, and we could imagine NADA being featured in a TV show like Olympo or Elite on Netflix.
Naturally, we are in awe, and have added NADA to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Eve Gasser, including Verano, and Eras Vos.
