Christopher Taylor releases emotive and heartfelt new single, Everything To Me

Setting the tone with a luscious and charming alternative folk soundscape, Christopher Taylor opens Everything To Me with introspective lyrics as sings, “Overwhelmed by things that catch me unaware, guess I’m good at making out that I don’t care, but when I face the constant noise, wishing I could find my voice, all I have’s a whisper you can’t hear…”

The opus expands with the title of the track as the hook, as the rising artist from Harrogate in the United Kingdom continues to share his soul with intricate prose and poetic prowess.

We appreciate the energy and authenticity that Christopher Taylor delivers with the composition, and deeply connect to his charismatic delivery and message. We learn that Everything To Me is “about someone who is struggling with what’s going on around them, it seems there’s no escape. However, there is a very special person who helps to make the problems go away.”

A full-time working musician, Christopher Taylor started playing the guitar and singing in his teens, and performed with a number of local bands which allowed him to play at youth clubs, churches and school gigs before expanding to a job as a full-time bassist and vocalist, and eventually creating a sonic identity of his own.

The multi-disciplinary artist cites Seth Lakeman, Jack Johnson, Alice Cooper and David Bowie, George Ezra, Vance Joy, James Blunt, The Lumineers, and Train as some of his influences, but there is no doubt that Christopher Taylor is creating a universe of his own.

He was awarded the Akademia Music Award for Best Pop Rock EP in February 2016 for his EP, Chasing Rainbows, whilst his singles Meet Me On The Horizon and How beautiful you are won best Folk/Pop song Akademia Award in the same year and received enthusiastic support from BBC Introducing!

We love what Christopher Taylor is sharing with his sound and message, and have added Everything To Me to our New Music Spotlight the visionary artist’s wider discography!
