Kent says, “This was written at a time when I was really reflecting on how much we all hide from each other. Keeping secrets is as natural as falling off a rock, so it’s always amazed me how much stress this can cause, and lead to the tag line ‘I know what you’re trying to hide‘.” He adds, “We all need an easy groove while wrestling with our inner demons, and a song like this allows one to groove while sorting out how much they hide from the world.”
Recorded in his home studio in Cambridge, Wisconsin, Kent blends old and new techniques to craft his luscious. layered soundscape. The use of analogue tape manifests warmth and texture, whilst digital polish adds clarity. This combination creates a sense of nostalgia and futurism which is a fitting reflection of the song’s duality.

He handles everything from writing to mastering, and proves his skill as both an artist and craftsman.
