Our obsession with Audren seems to grow with every listen, so naturally we were curious to hear her latest release, When Freedom Dies and share it with you! It kicks of with a meditative frequency and cerebral melody, expanding with pulsating drums and Audren‘s captivating vocals as she sings, “In a forest on a mountain, you hear the crowd from the top of the world, better stay where you are…”
The opus evolves with an incredible showcase of Audren‘s range and poetic prowess as she conveys her conceptual mind and philosophical depth with us. The sonic switch ups manifest a high emotional quotient as Audren sings, “You should have listened to your own God, cos you know what’s safe for you…”
As for the overarching message, Audren transforms notions of personal struggle into artful protest. Her vocals are soft yet commanding as she delivers a clear self-realized message – to not follow the herd and stick to your own truth. It’s important and zeitgeist at a time when we need it the most.

For some background, Audren’s lived experience with Lyme disease gives her message a rare authenticity. She confesses how she learned to trust her instincts in order to survive. This wisdom is prevalent in When Freedom Dies, but also her wider discography. It is partly where her consciousness stems from, and shows how that trauma can truly manifest in some incredible, profound artistry.
In this case, the song questions blind trust and misinformation, NPC culture if you might. It reminds us that freedom begins in the mind and Audren is sharing her voice to liberate those fortunate enough to listen from the shackles of a sunken place. Despite the serious themes, the track feels cathartic and graceful. We deeply connect with the astral guitar performances, which are notably reminiscent of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall.
The mantra-esque delivery of the righteous hook is not lost on us and we are forever grateful to experience the charismatic authenticity of what Audren is creating. We have added When Freedom Dies to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the star’s exquisite, growing discography!
