Establishing the mood with an atmospheric, siren-esque vocal performance and a sublime, immerse piano melody, Nikiré opens ETERNITY beneath the stars of God with a cosmic energy, as we experience a philosophical perspective with the prose, “Believe there’s no heaven, believe there’s no hell, imagine one eternal universe where souls walk free through fields of light, in peace, love and understanding, ETERNITY beneath the stars of God…”
We are immediately grateful for the poetic prowess and intentional message that transpires – reminding us of notions of oneness, a conscious mindset with reference to the afterlife – more aligned with the spiritual scriptures of Paramahansa Yogananda, as opposed to the more divisive and religious mainstream texts.
As for the delivery, Nikiré reminds us sonically and melodically of Sarah MacLachlan‘s song, (In The Arms of An) Angel, which is a great reference to build this prophetic message from. The vocal range is elegant and feels warm and welcoming, in line with the conceptual universe that Nikiré has created.

We learn that ETERNITY beneath the stars of God is the second release by Nikiré. We also learn that Nikiré is a lyrical and philosophical music project by Tom Arild Junge. The song is designed to continue a series exploring existential themes through poetic lyrics, ambient soundscapes and mindfulness.
Following the first release, VALUES within your soul, ETERNITY beneath the stars of God is intended to reach outwards towards the universe and inwards towards stillness. Tom cites artists like Enya as a sonic influence, which we can certainly feel manifest. Rooted in the philosophy of Nikiréism, the project honours values, compassion, and presence, offering music as lived experience. We can learn more at nikire.com.
We have added ETERNITY beneath the stars of God to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream VALUES within your soul, and anticipate future releases from Nikiré!
