“Shoot your shot, but I’m not gonna stop the pain you’ve got, I’ll make it worse, on purpose…” sings Scirii accompanied by a minimal soundscape as she invites us into her cerebral universe with Femme Fatale.
We are immediately hypnotized by Scirii‘s assertive lyrics and delicate, sultry timbre. The atmospheric vocals are sublime and Scirii truly showcases her range with tonal precision. There is a self-realized energy to the darkness, and we appreciate the poetic prowess that manifests and the dimensionality of the soundscape.
There is a cinematic allure that makes the track perfect for a range of sync deals – an Amazon Prime show like The Girlfriend, or perhaps HBO‘s Euphoria. Speaking on her sophomore release, Scirii confesses, “It shows the recognition of ego and the hunger to strike it down. It shows glory and mockery. It’s significant because my listeners will be able to tell now the kind of person I am – metaphorical, cinematic, psychologically driven, unafraid to talk about emotions which can be unhealthy. it stands out by being unconventional, using simple instruments to create complex sounds, and using my favourite instrument – my voice – to tell a dramatic, victorious and vicious story.”

Overall, the track exudes unapologetic confidence. We learn that it was recorded entirely in Scirii‘s bedroom, bringing to life a production that is intimate yet bold. Pulsing beats give it drive, whilst shimmering guitars and dreamy electric piano nuances create a surrealist atmosphere.
Scirii mentions Evanescence, Melanie Martinez and Lana Del Rey as sonic influences, but there is no doubt that Scirii is manifesting a universe unto her own – a confessional spell! We love how at its core, Femme Fatale is a statement of duality. Scirii celebrates the coexistence of light and dark, and purity and chaos. Scirii reminds us that power doesn’t come from perfection, but from embracing the shadows within. It’s raw, intelligent, and emotionally layered – a siren’s anthem for those unafraid to face their reflection.
We have added Femme Fatale to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Scirii‘s debut single, The Antagonist, and anticipate future releases from the rising, visionary artist!
