Our obsession with Cosmiq seems to grow with every listen! We previously featured the genre-expansive, atmospheric anthem Dance All Night, and his high frequency, dimensional single, Cosmic Love, so when we heard that Cosmiq was back with Dancing in the Rain, we couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in his universe once again!
Opening with a charming vocal ad-lib and a luscious, Latin guitar soundscape, Cosmiq opens Dancing in the Rain with connected prose, metaphorical with intentional depth. There is always romance in his songs – they feel full of love – perfect to manifest human connection or celebrate the existing connection that you have with a loved one.
The vocal production is pop perfection and the vivid picture that Cosmiq paints with his lyrics and production is divine. It’s a feel good energy that we could imagine being played on a beach in Thailand or during a tropical storm in Goa, India. The addition of the astral flute is perfect to bring to life the vibe, and the vocal runs are sublime.
