What Is Love serves as a commentary on the evil that exists on Earth and what our true purpose is. Speaking on the release, GIDEON UNNA confesses, “This song is about love as a response to war and violence. In a way, it was inspired by George Harrison’s work – the spiritual and peaceful message he often brought into his music really spoke to me while creating this song.”
The talented artist adds, “The inspiration came from the war in Israel, which has been terrible, and from the general atmosphere of hate and division around the world. I wanted to write something that pushes back against that – something that says we need more love, not more hate. That’s the message at the heart of this song.”
The release marks the second collaboration with the talented Kaley Halperin. The song is an intimate and soulful exploration of one of life’s biggest questions and comes to life with vulnerability and grace.
