Establishing the mood through a pulsating bassline, rising ethereal synth melody, and intricate percussion details, Dreamcaller opens Bombshell with an atmospheric techno-trance adjacency and atmospheric dance vocals with the lyrics, “Your jeans, so white, so tight, your eyes, so blue, so bright…”
The opus expands with a luscious and captivating hook as Dreamcaller sings, “You’re a bombshell, exploding in my mind…” with cinematic grace as a dedicated ode to his muse. The song itself is extremely visual as we are transported in the mind’s eye of Dreamcaller‘s sonic universe, and of course, the dancefloor!
We appreciate the authenticity and relatability that transmutes with the song, as well as Dreamcaller‘s high emotional quotient. The sound design and mix are perfection. The airy vocals bring to life the sensual nature of what Bombshell offers as a song.
There is a cinematic allure that comes to life with this song – a Love Island sync deal perhaps or a romantic Hollywood movie montage scene! We also love the accompanying music video, which features footage from the iconic 2004 film, The Girl Next Door. Speaking on the release, Dreamcaller confesses, “Bombshell was inspired by the 90’s dance/trance anthems that Dreamcaller danced to until the early hours across the UK club scene.”
We learn that the track was written and recorded entirely in Dreamcaller‘s home studio, ergo highlighting his independence and creative vision. We deeply appreciate the hypnotic nature and limitless energy. It’s music built for late nights, for club floors, and for the moments when time seems suspended.
We have added Bombshell to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Dreamcaller‘s debut single, Come Back to Me, and anticipate future releases from the talented artist.
