Our obsession with SAMBOX and Anita Barbereau seems to grow with every listen. We have previously featured the artists for their transcendental and comforting opus, Cocooning, and the intentional release, Unity. Naturally, when we heard that they were back with Don’t Ever Stop, we were curious and couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in their universe once more.
Don’t Ever Stop with a high emotional quotient, showcasing intricate piano, expanding with a sublime strings arrangement and psychedelic percussion, evolving with a rythmic cymbal before Anita shares introspective prose punctuated by the strings.
We appreciate the poetic prowess and ethereal nature of the song. The escapist lyrics are welcome now more than ever. The delicate timbre that manifests is exquisite, airy like Grimes, emotive like Lana Del Rey. Don’t Ever Stop blends genres in a way that feels fresh and alive.

There is a cinematic allure to the piece – making Don’t Ever Stop perfect for a range of synch deals – perhaps a future episode of HBO‘s Euphoria or an emotive segment in a romantic film like Netflix‘s recent, The Wrong Paris. We could also imagine this being performed at The Bronze in an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
The song captures the strengths of both artists. SAMBOX shares his expertise in merging classical training with electronic music experimentation, whilst Anita Barbereau’s rich experience in orchestral performance and nuanced composition truly shines through.
Needless to say, we are in awe – as always – and have added Don’t Ever Stop to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, as we continue to stream the duo’s wider discography, and anticipate future releases!
