Drawing us in with cerebral percussive elements, TYYE opens whole thing with nuanced dimensionality and a pristine, yet atmospheric pop vocal. The production is masterful, evocative, bright and yet dynamic. We appreciate the timeless pop sensibility that manifests with a contemporary mix.
TYYE‘s energy is sublime, his vibe is relatable and his poetic prowess is graceful. In essence, whole thing serves as an exploration of unrequited love, tapping into the ache of devotion which isn’t fully returned.
We learn the track was written during a period of emotional upheaval for the rising artist. His authenticity shines through as he captures the bittersweet tension of being invested in someone who doesn’t fully commit. There is a cinematic allure to the track, perfect for a range of sync deals – a progressive Netflix drama, perhaps a future season of My Life with the Walter Boys!
When quizzed about his influences, TYYE confesses, “I love music that is sad and melancholy, with a catchy R&B beat underneath. Bands like Glass Animals, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber’s new album are all sources of inspiration.” We can feel this come through, but there is no doubt that TYYE is creating a sonic a universe of his own.

whole thing was created at producer Braxton Medellin’s home studio in Kansas City, and was mastered by Jackson Maddox. It is abundantly clear that innovation is at the forefront with this release. The cosmic dynamics are tangible, the vocal production is genius, and overall, the track holds a sentimental vibe whilst showing us the progressive nature of the co-creators.
On his evolution, the talented rising artist says, “This single goes beyond the sound of my debut album, bringing in more pop influences and a more commercial sound. Production wise, it is much more complex and rich from my previous music”
We deeply connect with the high emotional quotient, and could imagine this bringing the audience to tears in a live setting! We have added whole thing to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we stream TYYE‘s 2025 album, MAKING MOVES, and anticipate TYYE‘s upcoming EP!
