Establishing the mood with a dimensional synthscape with astral textures, rolling thunder and cerebral nuance, Max Season opens Spring 2025 with an immersive sound design that feels refreshing, meditative and dynamic.
The opus, released on the Summer Solstice, expands with a pulsating kick and industrial details which manifest a cinematic aura. The detail is refined, the moments of crashing thunder invite pouring rain, akin to Spring time – both emotively and energetically.
Max Season‘s compositional aptitude is poetic, dramatic and unique – the fusion of natural sounds with electronica brings to life a highly creative approach to song creation. The piece is perfect for a wide variety of movie scenes and synch deals – a pivotal moment in a Lars von Trier film perhaps.
We learn that Spring 2025 forms part of Max Season‘s wider body of work – Cycles, which serves as “a long-term music project built around change, memory, and time”. He tells us how each piece is released at the beginning of a new season and captures a specific mindset, atmosphere, or personal moment tied to that period. “It’s like a musical journal, not just reflecting where I am, but offering something fixed in time”, confesses Max.
“Each piece in Cycles is meant to act as a marker, something to return to. A way to hold onto whatever you were living when you first heard it. The tracks aren’t just mine; they’re made to hold space for your own memories too. They exist so you can come back and say: this is where I was. The project doesn’t follow trends or tell one single story. It documents fragments, what fades, what stays, and everything in between”, adds the visionary composer, also known as Maxime Souveton.
We love the depth that Max Season goes into with his artist, and as Spring 2025 marks the first track from Cycles, we look forward to the remainder of his conceptual project as it unfolds. After a decade working behind the scenes in composition, production, and artistic direction, Max Season has now officially stepped into the spotlight with his personal and experimental approach.
We have added Spring 2025 to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we anticipate the release of Summer 2025, Autumn 2025, and Winter 2025 from Max Season, with more story arcs to follow!
