We appreciate the timeless nature of the song, and the connected nature of Diya Dhar‘s metaphorical and philosophical lyricism. When quizzed on the message of the song, Diya confesses that I Want You is “a song about love, heartbreak and longing. It speaks of a love that is difficult, and to an extent even self-destructive but, so intoxicating that the teller of the tale is stubborn enough to keep it around.”
