Nosonic share a high emotional quotient with evocative and dynamic single, Encore et encore

We love French songs at KIMU HQ, so when we heard that Nosonic had just released Encore et encore, we were curious, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience. Opening with the philosophical prose, “On revient et on repart, on dit quand on a marre…”, accompanied by a psychedelic synthscape and a pulsating bassline with string nuances, expanding with a dimensional beat and an immersive energy, Nosonic introduce Encore et encore with a high emotional quotient.

We appreciate the quintessential nature of the track, with timeless French influence, stunning choral vocals from the duo, exquisite chord choices, and a message that we can all relate to! The self-realized and conscious theme of the opus is tangible, and we appreciate the charismatic nature of the delivery, with poetic echoes in the vocal design and a notion of escapism. The cerebral finale is evocative with subliminal messages, amplifying the concept of the track.

We learn that after two albums, including L’excuse, produced by Phil Delire (Indochine, Noir Désir…), concerts throughout France and Ireland (La Boule noire, Le Printemps de Bourges, First part of Ycare etc.), the group has adopted a fresh direction with the addition of singer, Amalia and their new album, La nuit et le jour!

With reference to the band’s creative process, the song was first recorded in a home studio, written on piano and guitar, then re-arranged and mixed in Ireland in Cork by Angelo Presta, who co-produced the album.

Speaking on their wider philosophies, the band tell us, “Everyone wants to make an impression and have their fifteen minutes of fame, but dialogue can be difficult when you have the impression of speaking into the wind.” On their record, they simply describe it as, “An intimate album, in an upside-down world, moving towards you…”

We love what Nosonic are manifesting, and have added the captivating Encore et encore to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we watch the cinematic music video, continue to stream the remainder of the album, and anticipate future releases from the creators!
