Our obsession with Giardini Oort seems to grow with every listen. We previously featured the artist’s cerebral and intentional, Dark Thoughts, and the transcendental and expansive, A Place Without Gravity, so when we heard that the talented composer was back with Arogya, we were curious and couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in his universe once more. Before we begin, it is worth noting that Arogya is a Sanskrit word that means “overall well-being” and “health of mind, body and spirit.”
Establishing the mood with a moody, organ-esque synthscape, Arogya opens with drama and immersion. We appreciate the syncopated notions and signature cerebral nature that comes to life. Astral tones emerge as glistening details, akin to a celestial countdown, growing in volume as the bass note crescendo immerses us further with wavy nuances, amplifying the curious nature of the piece.
A pulsating beat and psychedelic, metallic textures guide us further, before the composition expands with trip-hop meets drum and bass patterns, tapping into a more contemporary energy, but equally remaining as mystical as its debut.
Glitch-core transitions take us into a meditative space, lulling us into a state of zen, before the composition invites bell tones to add further dimensionality to the already highly dynamic piece. The introduction of a bright synth evokes a sense of optimism before the finale, which feels empowering, akin to a cosmic ascension.
Speaking on the release, Giardini Oort confesses, “Arogya [is] an ambient track designed to promote relaxation, meditation, realignment, and healing.” He continues, “Crafted with the healing frequency of 528 Hz, known as the ‘Love Frequency’, this music aims to repair DNA, bring peace, and foster wellness. Perfect for meditation sessions, yoga practices, or simply to find a moment of peace in your day.”
We love the intentional manner in which Giardini Oort creates, and have added Arogya to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the talented composer’s expansive discography, and anticipate future opuses from the visionary and conscious creator.
