Ari Joshua, Joe Doria and Brad Gibson send us astral with cinematic and transcendental Suncatchers Version of Audio Bicycle Day

Drawing us in with a glistening harp-adjacent, 60s-inspired strings soundscape, fused with a guitar melody and a cerebral, classic organ, Ari Joshua opens the Suncatchers Version of Audio Bicycle Day with the dimensionality that we have come to love from the talented composer.

We are immediately captivated by the psychedelic nuance that the opus exudes. Listening to the ethereal sounds of the 60s-inspired strings, akin to a harp, manifests a profound and transformative effect on the mind, body, and spirit. The mesmerizing tones have a unique quality that transports us to a state of deep relaxation, contemplation, and transcendence.

The gentle, cascading notes stimulate our imagination and evoke a sense of wonder and enchantment. The otherworldly timbres and textures, in harmony with the presence of the organ, create a dreamlike atmosphere that invites us into “a melodic fusion that harkens back to the golden age of cinema.”

Midway through the composition, we are met with a cyber-glitch moment before an expansive organ performance sends us astral! The ultimate breakdown of the track is playful, bringing us full circle with the dreamy elements from the introduction.

We learn that the song was mixed and recorded entirely by analog means. Ari confesses, “The old analog samples from the vintage synth really gives it a film-noir vibe.” We also learn that there is a longer version of the track with solos and extended explorations, but in the meantime, we are totally in awe of the radio edit. Ari Joshua tell us, “Audio Bicycle Day also has renditions recorded with Ray and Russ from The Trey Anastasio Band, and another with Delvon Lamarr, and Skerik!”

The Suncatchers Version features Ari Joshua on guitar, with Joe Doria on organ and the psychedelic strings, whilst Brad Gibson shares his energy on the drums. Ari describes the composition as “a nostalgic voyage where every chord is a brushstroke on the canvas of time”, and we are inclined to agree!

We have added the Suncatchers Version of Audio Bicycle Day to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Ari Joshua’s exquisite wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the visionary artist and producer.
