La Need Machine take us on a metaphorical trip and enhance collective wisdom with captivating new single, These Old Jeans

We previously featured La Need Machine for their intentional and thought-provoking debut, I Wish I Could Fly, so when we heard that the talented foursome was back with These Old Jeans, we were curious to say the least and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

Establishing the mood with a soft drum roll and an astral melodic riff, These Old Jeans teases us with a sense of familiarity, in line with the concept of the song and the opening prose, “These Old Jeans have seen it all, even things I can’t remember, it’s true that these old jeans have been with me forever…”

The glistening soundscape is immersive, intricate and a fitting match for the overarching message of the song, which the band confess is “the story of how acquiring wisdom leads to modesty and humbleness, which leads to understanding and peace.”

They continue with the intentional depth that we have come to expect from La Need Machine, “As the person gains more and more wisdom, the more they realize how much wisdom there is to learn. This naturally leads the person to consider that their own opinions may be wrong, and that others’ opinions may be correct.  The result of this growth creates space for a real understanding with others. And this real understanding is a step toward Peace, Love, and Understanding for all.”

We deeply connect with the metaphorical message of These Old Jeans and the collective societal benefits of experiencing the track’s lyricism. Through its storytelling and emotive melodies, the song serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of personal growth and self-realization in fostering a harmonious and compassionate society.

By emphasizing the importance of modesty and humbleness as vehicles for wisdom and growth, the song encourages us to approach life with a sense of openness, curiosity, and a willingness to learn from each other. In a society that often prioritizes individual success and achievement, the message of oneness in the song serves as a valuable reminder of the power of modesty in fostering a sense of unity and cooperation among diverse individuals.

We love what La Need Machine are creating, and have added These Old Jeans to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the band’s debut single, I Wish I Could Fly.
