Bang takes us on an immersive trip with enlightening and dynamic new single, Turn Slow

Drawing us in with a glistening, guitar soundscape, atmospheric vocals and textured percussion, Bang opens Turn Slow with intrigue, dimensionality and an immersive energy with philosophical, metaphorical prose – needless to say, we are in awe.

The opus expands into an alternative indie-pop mood, taking us on a somewhat transcendental journey, tapping into a meditative nuance. Turn Slow possesses a unique ability to facilitate catharsis and foster a profound connection with the universe. Through introspective lyrics and emotive melodies, Bang invites us on a journey of self-reflection, allowing us to delve deep into our emotions, thoughts, and experiences by proxy of the talented creator.

The euphoric nature of Turn Slow serves as a source of emotional release, lifting spirits and creating a sense of lightness and freedom. This emotional release is cathartic, offering a respite from daily struggles and holds a quality that transports us to otherworldly realms, evoking a sense of wonder, whilst simultaneously inviting us to connect with Earth as we know it.

The subversive switch up mid-way through the track takes on a more industrial edge, which taps into the more dramatic realms of our reality, and is followed by the sounds of crashing waves and a sentiment akin to whale calls creating a perfect loop that has us yearning for more.

We learn that Bang‘s main influence are South Asian soundscapes, and the concept of daily life. Born and raised in Michigan, Bang cites “listening to classic Bollywood music” and “hip hop and pop [from] the early 2000s” as the components to manifest his sound. The star has since found ways to blend his early musical influences with modern electronic and alternative sounds to create what we are experiencing today!

There is no doubt that fans of The Postal Service will also be able to connect with Turn Slow, but it is abundantly clear that Bang is designing a sonic universe of his own. We have added Turn Slow to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our brand new TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream Bang‘s wider discography including My Heaven, and Dance In The Rain.
