Establishing the mood with a dimensional, rising frequency, exploding into a luscious and dynamic guitar soundscape, we experience a charismatic rock vocal and the situational lyrics, “You tell me it’s alright, everything is fine, just one more lie, just one more time…”
The opus expands with the signature timeless nature that we have come to love from The Project, and a super emotional delivery that simply oozes authenticity. The accompanying soundscape is flawless, and there is this natural, effortlessness that the band showcase, although there is no doubt that what they are creating is refined, polished and a product of music mastery and tangible lived experience.
Hope‘s middle eight is transcendental, and includes glistening guitar notes before an introspective delivery, intricate drum riffs, before a final, anthemic reprise and rippling break down.

We learn that Hope is indeed the fifth release from The Project, fronted by James Davis and Dennis Hill, with the support of Lit drummer, Nathan Walker for this release. Fans of Steve Miller Band, Train, and Cheap Trick will be able to connect with what The Project are sharing, although there is no doubt that they are manifesting a sound of their own.
The band’s upcoming album is called Best Days and is designed to deliver “a non-stop, feel-good ride through the worlds of classic hard rock and pop rock which everyone can rock out to”, bringing to life the sound of California. We have added Hope to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the released singles, and anticipate the launch of Best Days, the album, later this Spring!
