Immersing us with a super dimensional and panning synthscape with subversive, atmospheric vocal textures, Distractions opens with dynamism and a fierce and assertive flow from the talented artist.
The opus showcases production genius and we appreciate the design of the accompanying soundscape, which features smart ad libs, astral vocal nuances and abundance inspired hooks from Wordplaii.
We appreciate the clarity and emotional depth of what Wordplaii has to offer, as well as the ethereal nature of his energy, which aligns with his universal prose and intricately designed vocals.
Speaking on the message of the release of Distractions, Wordplaii tells us, “This song is very relevant in the current time of short form content and social media being in such high use and demand.”
The philosophical artist continues, “I think as not only creators but humans, we let a lot of these things cloud our judgments. This song tackles the theme of coming to the realization that all of these comparisons and social media sucking-in, are only making our trials that may already be already tragic, even worse.”
Wordplaii concludes with wisdom, “We forget how to be alive, and only live to chase things we don’t have and beat ourselves up when they don’t happen right away. This is a song of hope, and meant as a message of motivation to anybody stuck in a similar thought loop.”
