Ananda Xenia Shakti and Love Power The Band invite us to connect with the universe with powerful double single, Songs From Source

Our obsession with Ananda Xenia Shakti and Love Power The Band seems to grow with every listen. We love the conscious and transcendental nature of what they bring to the universe, and when we heard that the star was back with a double single, titled Songs From Source, we were curious and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

First up is Are You Looking For Me, which opens with a rising, dimensional soundscape before Ananda Xenia Shakti sings the title of the track and reminds us that we are life force energy with the hook, “I am the breath inside the breath…”

We appreciate the 70s adjacent, trippy and kaleidoscopic universal energy that the opus exudes. The spiritually conceptual lyricism is in line with an expanded consciousness and the composition lends itself to an affirmative vibe, encouraging us to indeed connect with source.

Next is Hare Hare Dance, which opens with an ode to Lord Krishna. Speaking on both songs, the cosmic deity popstar confesses, “This twin release is about dancing and romancing your spirit into its Love Power!”

We learn that Are You Looking For Me is inspired by the poem of the same name by the 15th-century Indian mystic poet Kabir Das. The track features Niranjan Gundu Singh on guitar, Marcos Alexander Ordoriez on bass, Shambhu Natha on drums and percussion, and Snappy Homefry Kipp and Pankaj Saakhi on keyboards. The track is co-produced by Snappy Homefry Kipp, Saakhi Music Production, and Ananda Xenia Shakti.

Hare Hare Dance is a effective and dynamic adaptation of an ancient Krishna chant into a modern day dance song. Ananda Xenia Shakti tells us how she recorded the track as part of her birthday celebration, which fell on the same day as Krishna’s birthday this year. The recording session, which took place in Vrindavan, while the whole city was vibing in full celebration mode for Krishna birthday, was described by Ananda as “magical and filled with ease and joy.” It features vocals and co-production by Ananda Xenia Shakti and keyboards by Pankaj Saakhi.

We always love what Ananda Xenia Shakti and Love Power The Band have to offer, and have added both songs to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our brand new TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream the star’s growing discography and anticipate future releases!
