Moto Perpetuo take us on a transcendental trip with expansive new composition, Clave Surprise

Drawing us in with textured drum and percussion riffs and an elegant, intricate piano performance with astral guitar melodies, Moto Perpetuo open Clave Surprise with dimensionality and intrigue.

The opus evolves into a luscious, jazz meets contemporary soft rock energy as the Italian band invite us on a genre expansive journey with their progressive sound. The composition showcases nothing short of instrumental mastery, and we appreciate the cinematic nuances and timeless nature of the piece.

The piano performance is simply out of this world, with rippling details, together forming a cohesive and dynamic tapestry of sound in conjunction with wild electric guitars, reminiscent of the 90s.

Formed in 1996 with the same line up, Moto Perpetuo showcase emotional depth with the piece, ideal for the score of a TV show or feel-good Hollywood blockbuster. The visionary foursome describe Clave Surprise as “an ethereal and more complex composition that brings the quartet back to its more distinctly fusion matrix.”

Speaking on their artistry, the band confesses, “We love instrumental, old-style music and Clave Surprise puts all of our influences together.” We also learn that the track is taken from the band’s full album, Untitled, which we have also been exploring!

We love what Moto Perpetuo have to offer, and have added Clave Surprise to our New Music Spotlight playlist as well as our brand new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Untitled, as well as their expansive discography, and anticipate future releases from the creators!
