We cannot get enough of the talented Mick J Clark lately, and recently featured one of his eye-opening archive tracks, At Last, so naturally, we continued digging through his expansive discography, only to find Sing Glory Glory Hallelujah!
Drawing us in with a luscious guitar soundscape and dimensional bells, Mick J Clark opens Sing Glory Glory Hallelujah with his quintessential vocal timbre and festive, yet conscious prose as he sings, “Tis the season of goodwill to all with the gifts around the trees, Sing Glory Glory Hallelujah!”
We cannot help but notice the way that Mick sings the word “hallelujah” is reminiscent of the iconic Jeff Buckley, and this makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside.
The opus continues to expand with Mick’s compositional mastery and the timeless energy that he brings to music, which is exactly why we are happy to revisit his work.
Speaking on the release, the star says, “Sing Glory, Glory Hallelujah is a Christmas song about Santa being able to give children everything they want from his sleigh, except for some children the one thing they really want is ‘peace’ and Santa can’t give them that.”
The message is wholesome as ever, and reminds us of why Mick has so many synch deals and even a Grammy nomination, because his work is of pristine quality, designed to live on forever.
His lyricism references “peace on Earth”, which is why we connected with the song on such a profound level, as we love the overarching concept of what Mick offers with his intentional art.
The strings arrangement is immersive and the percussion nuances keep us gripped throughout. It’s a feel good energy and a refined Christmas offering that we are grateful that Mick is sharing.
We have added Sing Glory, Glory Hallelujah to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our brand new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Mick J Clark‘s epic discography and ring in the Holiday season with a conscious mindset.
