Mick J Clark shares his art as activism and calls for peace with eye-opening archive release, At Last

Setting the tone with textured drums and an astral guitar riff, Mick J Clark opens At Last with thought-provoking lyricism as he sings, “At last, as the lights go down, at last, the biggest film around, at last the cinematic tale of how the human race can fail…”

We cannot help but draw parallels to the current state of reality as we listen to Mick’s pristine pop vocal and timeless nature, coupled with his philosophical message.

Life is indeed a movie, but if you look at society in this moment, we are experiencing nothing short of complicated times. At Last invites us to reflect on this, and we appreciate Mick J Clark‘s wisdom and art as activism.

Speaking on the release, Mick confesses, “At Last is about how breathtakingly bad some human beings are in this world. I used to say to my kids ‘one cuts the cake in half and the other one chooses the half that they want.’ Nothing fairer than that, but if there has to be fighting and killing, then not the women and children, that is cruel, barbaric and cowardly, what have the children done to deserve this, they are ‘just children’ for gods sake.”

He adds with passion, “STOP killing and injuring women and children in wars, it’s cruel and it’s cowardly and it’s WRONG.” We concur with Mick J Clark‘s message and deeply connect with the intentional nature of the release.

In a time when the world seeks a unifying message, this impactful anthem serves as a reminder that human resilience remains unyielding when confronted with challenges.

We have added At Last to our brand new TIMELESS playlist, as well as our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Mick J Clark wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the talented, Grammy nominated creator.
