Clio Cadence shares evocative and thought-provoking Acoustic Version of Innocence

Setting the tone with layered, ascending vocals and a luscious strings arrangement, Clio Cadence opens the acoustic version of Innocence with an assertive nature as she shares the evocative prose, “On a bad trip,
losin’ my shit, saw you over there biting your lip, never been here before this…”

“Here we are, none the wise, hypnotize, cauterize, dilate, close your eyes, victimize your disguise…”, continues the star as she takes us on a subversive and dynamic journey, unveiling her inner monologue to us.

We appreciate the instrumental switch ups, coupled with Clio’s stunning range and charismatic performance. The astral guitar notes detail the opus perfectly, as Clio invites us to “blame the innocence…”, showcasing her poetic prowess and emotional depth.

Speaking on the release, Clio Cadence confesses, “I wrote the lyrics to Innocence while walking through a massive graveyard. Under the moonlight, I felt like I was in a trance, like I was in another world. The lyrics came to me that dark night.”

Clio cites The Pretty Reckless, Dorothy, and In This Moment as inspirations, although it is abundantly clear that the star is creating a universe of her own.

We have added the thought-provoking Acoustic Version of Innocence to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream Clio Cadence‘s wider discography, including the powerful original version of Innocence and Drive.
