LTB searches for peace and serenity in intricate and profound sophomore single, Slow Down

We previously featured LTB when he wanted us to live in the present moment with his authentic and evocative debut single, Rewind, so when we heard that the talented creator was back with Slow Down, we immediately noticed the conceptual connection between the titles of the two songs, and couldn’t wait to share our thoughts!

Enticing us with a elegant synthscape and textured vocal harmonies, LTB opens Slow Down with an immersive nature and an expanding bassline before we experience introspective lyrics from the star as he sings, “I’m lost, I’m so lost in this world… I thought, I thought I could calm my nerves…”

We absolutely love the emotional, 80s adjacency fused with LTB‘s thought-provoking prose, as he takes us on a journey within and beyond his mind. We learn that the ethereal electro-pop is designed to “search for peace and serenity in a chaotic world”, and we appreciate how it inspires us to go within and take a moment for ourselves.

The intentional nuance that LTB creates with resonates with us, and we connect with his soundscape and message on a holistic level. We understand his influences, which include The Weeknd, James Blake, Joji, Hozier, and Steve Lacy, although there is no doubt that Logan Barnhill is carving his own unique identity.

We have added Slow Down to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Rewind (which has already amassed over twenty-five thousands streams), and anticipate future releases from LTB!
