Following our in depth interview with Frank Bramble, we have felt connected with the artist on a whole new level! The star is on a mission this year, and has been in the midst of a slew of phenomenal releases, so when we heard that he had just released Pretty Colours, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Setting the tone with a warped riser and anthemic vocal ad libs, Frank Bramble opens Pretty Colours with a refined and poetic dimensionality as he shares an ethereal adjacent soundscape with elements of hyperpop.
The lyricism contains elements of classic Frank Bramble, if we can say that – a sense of authenticity akin to channeling the universe, and that quintessential British edge but laced with emotional vibrancy. Fans of Coldplay and The Streets might be able to connect with Pretty Colours, but the song and storytelling also provide clear evidence of Frank’s own unique identity.
We learn how the track draws inspiration from “the perspective of an older couple, one of whom has passed away” and “capture the essence of shared memories and the nostalgia of their garden, a place that held many cherished moments.”
Speaking on the message of Pretty Colours, Frank confesses, “With a personal connection to the passing of my grandad, this track explores more emotion, compared to my usual more light hearted songs.”
We appreciate the cohesive range that Frank Bramble‘s discography offers, and we have added Pretty Colours to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his growing catalogue!
