Ralph Puma shares cathartic and emotive new single, So It Goes…

Setting the tone with an emotively strummed guitar introduction, Ralph Puma opens So It Goes… with a sense of timelessness and situational, introspective prose as he sings, “I wanted to tell the truth, wanted to bring you down so bad that we’d both lose, I kept my mouth shut, you kept all of our friends…”

The opus expands with charismatic depth, as Ralph Puma conveys his inner most feelings and lived experience. It is clear that the composition holds a cathartic energy for both artist and those privileged enough to listen.

We appreciate the raw authenticity that Ralph delivers with poetic prowess. His vocal timbre is evocative and dimensionally produced with subtle yet expansive layering from John Black and Tim Robbins, who add value with their presence.

The instrumental arrangement of the track reminds us of something we might experience in an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer at The Bronze. The middle eight holds a meditative energy before Ralph explodes into an anthemic vibe where he expresses forgiveness, in turn healing himself. The choral finale is angelic and leaves us wanting more.

We learn that Ralph Puma is an occult practitioner and musician. He confesses to have “achieved enlightenment through melodic punk” and uses his lyrical and melodic talents to “create songs guided by intention for those navigating grief, hope, and revenge.” Needless to say, we connect deeply with this!

Ralph has played in numerous bands throughout his career, including Tonight at Ten, Remember Venice, and Kill Me Kate, and to no surprise, due to its highly synch-friendly nature, his music has been featured in various media including TV shows and documentaries!

We love what Ralph Puma has to offer and the uniqueness of his identity, and have added So It Goes… to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography and anticipate future releases from the visionary artist.
