Robert Vendetta encourages us to live in the present moment with evocative new single, Here and Now

We previously featured Robert Vendetta as he took us on a trip around planet Earth with the inspiring single, Vacation, so when we heard that the star was back with Here and Now, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience!

Drawing us in with an astral synthscape and intricate keys, Robert opens Here and Now with self-realized prose as he sings, “I can see it now, I have to make a change, it’s hard to face the truth how I wasted time, working for a future life, it’s time to stop running now, face myself, and be proud of what I’ve done, of where I am, and who I am now…”

What we love about Robert Vendetta is the authenticity that oozes from his soul, and the theatrical manner in which he delivers his thought-provoking and optimistic lyricism. Needless to say, Here and Now is no exception to this!

The overarching concept of the opus is a freedom anthem which encourages us to live in the moment. We appreciate the dynamic build of the composition, and the evolution twist of the finale into what the star describes as “plastic soul”, where we have supporting background vocals and a luscious and enticing tapestry of sound which has us yearning for more.

We learn that Robert’s band consists of Anders Jansvik on drums, Torunn Christelle on mellotron and Håvard Solli on bass, whilst János provides backing vocals along with Anders and Torunn.

Robert cites influences including Norwegian artist Jahn Teigen, Swedish artist Laleh, Gabrielle Cilmi and Leonard Cohen, which we can feel come through in his intention, although there is no doubt that what Robert Vendetta creates is unique to his own design.

We have added Here and Now to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the star’s wider discography, including Vacation, and anticipate future releases from Robert Vendetta!
