K-Syran returns with atmospheric and uplifting re-imagining of Boney M’s Sunny

We previously featured K-Syran when she teamed up with StoneBridge and Block & Crown on the romantic single, So In Love With You, so when we heard that the star was back with a cover of Sunny by Boney M, we couldn’t wait to listen and feed back!

Setting the tone with a series of cosmic risers and a textured, pulsating beat, K-Syran opens her organ house re-imagining of of the iconic Sunny with intrigue and dimensionality before a synth-based melody envelopes us further.

We connect with the atmospheric nature of the opus, and it is clear that the track is currently on the zeitgeist as it was also covered by Teddy Sinclair of Cruel Youth for a recent Mercedes Benz commercial.

The soundscape for K-Syran‘s version of the track features an exquisite strings arrangement, coupled with the artist’s luscious vocal performance which has us feeling inspired and uplifted.

It is no surprise that K-Syran has seen tremendous success as a singer songwriter, actress, author, director, and lyricist, as well as being as an impassioned activist for women’s rights. She already boasts collaborations with Blue, Sugababes, StoneBridge, and Sebastian Pérez.

Her single Intimacy was nominated by the United Nations in the U.K.
to be the anthem of international Women’s Day, while her album Dizzy has been nominated for a number of prestigious awards in the USA!

We love what K-Syran has to offer, and have added Sunny to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream her wider discography including Hudson River, and Shake That Booty!
