Foreign Voices deliver immersive and philosophical new single, Empiric

Setting the tone with an elegant, enigmatic, arpeggiated guitar riff and textured drums, Foreign Voices open Empiric with a sense of timelessness with thought-provoking prose and an evocative vocal timbre.

The opus expands with intentional depth and wisdom to take us on an introspective, alternative rock journey filled with charisma and charm. Needless to say, we are in awe. The band confess that the subject matter of Empiric touches upon, “the nature of human existence, dealing themes of isolation and loss, whilst also retaining a feeling of hope.”

We appreciate the tangible instrumental mastery demonstrated by the five-piece from the United Kingdom, as well as the dimensional guitar performances that send us astral, creating a cohesive and sometimes psychedelic tapestry of sound.

We learn that Empiric is the lead single from the upcoming sophomore EP from the Plymouth-based band, and was recorded at Cube Recording Studios in Cornwall by Ross Rothero-Bourge. Foreign Voices features Adam Leando on vocals, whilst Ian Crowford and Martyn Lee slay on guitars, Tom Fry showcases his skill on the bass, and Dylan Booker delivers an epic drums performance.

Fans of Radiohead will certainly be able to connect with Foreign Voices, although there is no doubt that the philosophical rising creators are manifesting a universe of their own.

Empiric has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Foreign Voices‘ debut EP including The Basic, Define and Daughter, and anticipate the upcoming sophomore record!
