One Nine Eight share introspective and emotive new single, Messed Up Feeling

Setting the tone with a dimensional, alternative rock soundscape, One Nine Eight open Messed Up Feeling with nothing short of instrumental mastery. Needless to say, we are in awe.

The opus expands with charismatic metaphorical constructs to take us on an introspective and thought-provoking journey, as One Nine Eight convey poetic prowess to bring their emotions.

We learn that the band create with the mission to “bring back the 90s rock sound that’s been on the uphill in recent years.” We love this intention, and their sonic landscape feels both timeless and contemporary in that sense. The guitar solo is simply out of this world, and has us yearning for more with its intricate chord progressions.

The band cite Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice In Chains as some of their influences, but there is no doubt that One Nine Eight are creating a universe of their own.

It is no surprise that One Nine Eight have had their songs featured on BBC Radio 1, as well as BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, and have amassed over 12,000 streams on Spotify since starting in 2022, making them one of the fastest growing in Glasgow!

We have added Messed Up Feeling to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream One Nine Eight‘s wider discography, including See Your Ghost, Get It On, and Lost.
