Gary Dranow shares powerful ode to our familiars with new single, Golden Child

Setting the tone with a cerebral frequency with enigmatic percussion, before expanding with a warmer, strummed guitar soundscape, Gary Dranow opens Golden Child with intrigue and situational prose as he sings, “When we first laid eyes on her, she wasn’t much to look at, kinda shy, she didn’t know what was going on…”

The opus evolves with an emotional narrative, as Gary takes us on a charming journey with his lyrics forming a meaningful ode to his muse, namely, the Golden Child – which we learn is his dog.

The connection between human and canine is transcendental. Anyone who has a familiar will be able to relate to the message of the composition, and we are grateful to Gary Dranow for creating a song and album that is dedicated to that powerful connection.

Gary confesses that the record is “inspired by the unconditional love shared between dogs and their owners”. Naturally, in line with the artist’s signature soundscape, the track features electric and acoustic guitars, electric bass, synthesizer, and drums, and the release coincides with Universal Shelter Dog Birthday.

For the upcoming record itself, Never Give Up, Gary has been influenced by Counting Crows, The Verve, Oasis, Train, and Bryan Adams, which we feel come through in the sonic landscape of Golden Child, although Gary Dranow and The Manic Emotions‘ unique vision remains steadfast.

Gary has created this record with the intention of emphasizing the message that “unconditional love is capable of conquering all obstacles.” We love the vision that he shares, and have added Golden Child to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continues to stream Destiny Road!
