Nikitaa takes us on a dynamic and empowering trip with captivating new single, Throne

Rising pop deity, Nikitaa has just released Throne, a seductive and empowering opus blending house, dance pop and trance influences to result in a cohesive tapestry of sound that needless to say, we cannot get enough of!

We were first privy to the star’s latest release on the rooftop of Petit Ermitage in Los Angeles, where Nikitaa shared excerpts from her self-produced music video, as well as the luscious and dimensional track itself!

Throne is a genre-expansive trip with empowering themes, as the artist of Indian origins showcases her poetic prowess, cerebral nature and self-realized depth, whilst inviting us to truly come into our own.

We learn that Nikitaa worked with Daniel Yves Escalante and Salvador Moratillo (also known as House of M) to co-produce the track where they showcase mastery of the electronica soundscape and Nikitaa’s charismatic confidence as she invites us to celebrate ourselves through the lens of queerness and sexuality. The track serves as an anthem for those who have found their voice and are ready to claim their rightful place on the proverbial throne in their own lives.

Nikitaa confesses, “Throne was inspired by my newfound freedom after coming out as gender-fluid earlier this year. I wanted to make something that expressed the joy, confidence and freedom I’ve found in my gender and sexual expression, paid homage to the queer origins of the dance pop and dance house genres, and my own lesser known house and trance influences from my teen years, while also letting me show off vocally.”

The visionary artist continues, “Throne is by far the boldest expression of my sensuality, and marks a big shift in sound and vocal arrangement for me – becoming more detailed, layered and confident than ever before.”

We have added Throne to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we watch the music video in full, and continue to stream Nikitaa‘s exquisite wider discography including Majesty, and Peter Pan.
