Joshua Ketchmark delivers emotive visual for Deadliest Thing to celebrate one year of Blood!

As part of Joshua Ketchmark‘s expansive campaign for his latest album, Blood, the star has released yet another incredible music video, this time for his single, Deadliest Thing!

First, let’s jump into the track, which opens with an astral frequency and guitar soundscape with intricate drums before Joshua shares his soul with intimate and emotive lyricism.

Speaking on the release of Deadliest Thing, Joshua confesses, “In this heartfelt song, I explore the profound impact of loss, the irreplaceable nature of certain moments, and the devastating power of a broken heart. It’s a personal journey that I believe many can relate to.”

We are mesmerized by Joshua’s vocal timbre and range, as well as the passion that he conveys with his charismatic delivery. The opus demonstrates instrumental mastery and a timeless nature, something that is consistent through the record and the visionary artist’s entire discography.

The music video features a cinematic performance from the star with 2D animation bringing to life the narrative of the song perfectly. We love the moody film-noir essence and the camera film effect that comes to life during the performance scenes.

The release is designed to also celebrate the one year anniversary of the album! With gratitude to his visual collaborator, Joshua says, “A huge thank you to Jessica Rodrigue for her remarkable animation work, bringing the visuals of Deadliest Thing to life in such a captivating way.”

The song features Zak St. John (Black Star Riders) on drums and percussion, with Ger Hoffman (Joe Diffie) on bass, Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit/Morgan Wade) on guitar, whilst organ and wurlitzer are performed by Michael Webb (Cimarron 615) and harmonies, and vocal pads by Daniel Capellaro (Dvniel).

We have added Deadliest Thing to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Blood and watch the growing archive of music videos that Joshua has created in wonder!
