Prismic Delight takes us on an expansive trip with immersive and intricate single, Morning Poison, and new EP, We Plan On Mattering

Establishing the mood with an astral melody and textured percussion, Prismic Delight opens Morning Poison with intrigue and dimensionality. The opus expands with exquisite instrumentation and synthwork to take us on an evocative and expansive journey.

Creating a cohesive tapestry of sound, Prismic Delight, also known as composer Adrian Buruca, showcases his uniqueness and dynamism, whilst creating immersive ebbs and flows with their sonic architecture. We appreciate the cathartic and playful elements that envelope us, as well as the universal nuance that Prismic Delight delivers with Morning Poison.

Speaking on the intention of the release of Morning Poison, Prismic Delight confesses, “This is an ode to the years of being connected to the electronic music world. It’s a more realized version of where I’ve been and an honest expression of my intent with music.”

We learn that the single forms part of a six track EP, called We Plan On Mattering. The visionary creator tells us, “I wanted to connect with my electronic music roots again and the experimental nature of making beats which I feel I had taken a break from for a year prior. Traveling abroad around Europe in 2022 I began creating demos on my phone while sitting in transit on planes and trains. These demos were more electronic music influenced and eventually became the seeds to the entire EP, which includes this single.”

Adrian, who cites Miles Davis, Brian Eno, and Aphex Twin as influences, adds, “I was back home in Los Angeles completing this ep when I decided to embark on one more track which became Morning Poison. I wasn’t thinking this was going to be anything special in particular but it became one of my more melodic and pop sounding songs on this EP. I wanted something that evoked more of a dance beat but I wanted to keep it ethereal. I tried to not interfere with the creative energy in making this and let the track develop without second guessing as much.”

We love the intention that Prismic Delight creates with, and have added Morning Poison to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream We Plan On Mattering in full!
