Carson Ferris shares self-realized and empowering new single, Crazy

As huge fans of Carson Ferris, having featured the introspective and evocative, Drive Alone, and the profound and self-realized, Speed Limit, we were excited to say the least when we heard that the rising star had just released, Crazy.

“They call me crazy, girl, but you know I’ll be here no matter what, they say I’m too young for this…” sings Carson in a self-referential manner as he touches upon themes of self-expression and ageism.

The opus expands into the luscious pop soundscape that we have come to anticipate from Carson Ferris, filled with smart lyricism and a charismatic delivery.

Crazy is Carson Ferris’s third release in 2023. We learn that it is about “liking a girl, but being told that you are too young to be in love.” We deeply appreciate the parallel and double entendre that comes through with the piece, as Carson also wrote the song about his relationship with his music and being told he’s too young to be a serious musician.

There is no doubt that fans of Jonas Brothers’ Sucker and Kelly Clarkson’s Since You’ve Been Gone will be able to connect with the bright and fierce soundscape that Carson is delivering in cohesive alignment with his out of this world vocal range and tenacity.

The bridge features Carson rapping, which once again, showcases the broad and expansive level of talent that the young and rising superstar has to offer the world!

Carson tells us, “I wrote the song Crazy when I was 11 years old after being challenged to write a love song. I was unsure how to write a love song, so I decided to write about my love for music and what it’s like to be trying to make it in the music industry as an 11-year-old. The song has a more crunchy, rock vibe than some of my other work. In the song, people are saying it’s crazy that I think I could ever be with the girl I like, that I’m too young, and stuff like that. But the song is actually about my passion for music and how I’m determined to make it as a musician, no matter what anyone says.”

He continues with intention, “The song is an anthem for anyone who has ever been told they’re too young, too inexperienced, or too anything to achieve their dreams. It’s a reminder that if you have a passion for something, you should never give up on it, no matter what obstacles stand in your way.”

We have added Crazy to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Carson Ferris‘s wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the visionary creator.
