Indigo Daydream shares psychedelic and ethereal cover of The Beatles’ iconic, Strawberry Fields Forever

Drawing us in with a meditative frequency and industrial textures, expanding into an evocative and elegant melody with cerebral vocal nuance, Indigo Daydream opens his version of Strawberry Fields Forever with intrigue and dimensionality.

We are immersed in the artist’s ethereal vocals and the signature emotive lyricism of the song as Indigo Daydream takes us on a psychedelic journey with the luscious, alt-rock reimagining of The Beatles‘ psych rock classic!

We know that Lennon based the song on his childhood memories of playing in the garden of Strawberry Field, a Salvation Army children’s home in Liverpool, and Indigo Daydream‘s cover seems to amplify the emotional nature of the piece.

Speaking on the release, the talented artist, from Totnes in the United Kingdom, confesses, “I didn’t want to just cover Strawberry Fields in the same style as the original. The Beatles already made a perfect version!”

He continues with intention, “I wanted to reimagine the song in my own style. Grungy guitars, atmospheric synths and shifting sounds that bounce between your ears on headphones. I think a song is a journey and there’s no better song to go exploring with than Strawberry Fields Forever.”

We absolutely love Indigo Daydream‘s immersive version, and learn that the star will be premiering his short film, “Strawberry Fields Forever Reimagined” at the world famous Cavern Club later today!

The film is set to feature this exquisite and transcendental version of Strawberry Fields Forever as the soundtrack, and portrays Strawberry Fields Forever as “a surreal landscape taken over by purple zebras, flying whales, magical flowers and much more”. The release will also raise awareness for an environmental project that Indigo Daydream supports called The Little Free Trees Project (www.littlefreetrees.org).

We cannot wait to see the visual in full, and in the meantime, we have added Strawberry Fields Forever to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Indigo Daydream, including Life Might Not Be Real, and Room on My Cloud.
