Alamance seek to empower our confidence and knowledge with evocative new single, Wanderers

Setting the tone with a cute, cerebral add lib, Alamance open Wanderers with instrumental mastery and a luscious, dimensional guitar soundscape, that we cannot get enough of.

The opus expands with atmospheric and emotive vocals, as the band from Oregon share an ode to “the struggles we sometimes feel in facing our truest selves.”

Alamance elaborate, “It’s about the consequences of sacrificing the part of ourselves that experiences the most amounts of emotion, whether we did so because the emotions were too powerful, or because we succumbed to the pressures of society.”

We appreciate the genre expansive nature of the composition, featuring elements of “modern pop rock, emo rock, and electronicore.” The authenticity and timeless, yet nostalgic nature demonstrated by the band is tangible, and we appreciate the vocal range and dynamic, charismatic and sometimes screamo vibe that Alamance exude with Wanderers.

There is no doubt that fans of A Day to Remember, My Chemical Romance, and Falling in Reverse would be able to connect with Wanderers, and the band cite Linkin Park, Periphery, Chiodos, The Devil Wears Prada, Enter Shikari, Protest the Hero, and Underoath as influences, but it is abundantly clear that Alamance are creating a universe of their own.

We love what Alamance are creating with intention, and have added Wanderers to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Alamance‘s wider discography including Monarch, Singularity, and Ethereal.
