Bad Ass Beauty shows her more vulnerable side with cathartic and self-realized new single, Broken

By now, you will know that we are huge fans of Bad Ass Beauty, having featured her evocative and fierce debut, Me, and the cathartic and expansive, 4 Horsemen, so when we saw that the rising star had just released Broken, we couldn’t wait to experience it!

Teasing us with a glitched soundscape, Bad Ass Beauty emotively confesses, “I’m so broken, I try not to show it…”, punctuated electric guitar riffs.

The composition expands with vulnerable lyricism and the fiery rock soundscape that we have come to love from Bad Ass Beauty. We appreciate how she shares her soul and depth, resulting in a relatable and high octane trip.

Speaking on the message of the track, the star exclaims, “Don’t ask me for any love [or] relationship advice! I have no clue what a decent, happy true love relationship is, because I’ve never had one. Ever.”

She continues with depth, “Ask me about toxic, manipulative, obsessive, controlling, abusive relationships… I can write a book. Maybe I will down the road, but for now… here’s a song about all of them combined.”

Bad Ass Beauty tells us, “It’s dark, its emo, its uncomfortable, its a little creepy…it’s vocally disjointed and linear. It’s exactly how i was feeling when I wrote it, but also a love letter to what I will NEVER accept or allow in my life again!”

We appreciate her evocative attitude, and the self-realized and cathartic nature of the message of the track. Naturally, we have added Broken to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Bad Ass Beauty‘s wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the visionary artist!
