The opus expands with drama and intrigue to unveil a subversive moodscape, and needless to say, we are mesmerized. Astral chants allow us to connect with source, at the same time as we are grounded by the exquisite and unique architecture of the beats.
Dark, gruff vocal textures appear, before the soundscape takes on a more high octane energy, transporting us into another dimension akin to an ancient civilisation meeting with a dystopian futuristic universe.
High Protein is an emerging producer from Sydney in the experimental electronica space, and we learn that the creator’s music is designed to “enthuse, energise and empower”, which certainly comes through in the more spiritual nature of the composition.
The unique fusion of “upbeat electronica, drum & bass, and dubstep with an added touch of lo-fi glitch hop” is what makes the cohesive tapestry of sound that the artist creates so highly unique. We appreciate the intentional depth, and the clarity of the mix which allows us to experience each moment individually, whilst being at one with the wider energy of the piece.
