Clare Easdown returns with intimate and poetic outcry for reciprocal love with new single, Wrap Me Up

We have been intently following the rise of Clare Easdown, and featured her releases of the powerful and atmospheric new single, Your Eyes Are Ice, the vulnerable and immersive, I’ll Wait, the empowering and introspective trip, Injected, and the ethereal and evocative, Burned Into My Past, so when we heard that the star had just released Wrap Me Up, we were intrigued to say the least!

Drawing us in with a panning and dimensional synthscape, the star sings in her signature atmospheric tone, “Wrap me up, in a velvet cloth of love, whisper me words of beauty…”

An astral riser opens the song up further with a trap-adjacent beat which works perfectly with Clare Easdown‘s vocal timbre and ethereal, trip-hop vibe, as she shares meaningful and profound prose. We adore the rhythmic clicks and the poetic charm that Clare shares with her opus.

The production design of the song is intricate and dynamic, with nuances that keep us on our toes as we are immersed into Clare’s luscious and elegant universe.

The rising artist from Menai in Australia confesses, “Wrap Me Up is a love song. A cry out for love, to be held, to be wrapped up in a pure beautiful cloth of love.” She adds, “It’s a mixture of suspense and open hearted emotion, almost begging the listener to Wrap Me Up.”

The depth and warmth that the talented singer evokes is tangible. Clare cites Clams Casino, Grimes, FKA Twigs, Sevdaliza, CHVRCHES, and Madonna as some of her influences, but as we have stated before, there is no doubt that what she is creating is unique to her own identity. We learn that Wrap Me Up is produced by Jburnsbeats, who Clare has only met online!

Wrap Me Up has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream her wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the star.
