Uda G cements his artistry on evocative new single, Bad2TheBone

Setting the tone rising arpeggiated keys, played with a sense of intrigue, Uda G opens Bad2TheBone with exceptional flow, a centred vocal timbre and unique cadence, showcasing his versatility as an artist from the outset.

The opus expands into a meaningful, thought-provoking journey though the psyche of the artist. They showcase their assertive nature and self-realized worth. We appreciate his references, empowering lyricism and the orchestral nature of the piece.

Uda G has a unique brand of storytelling, which set him apart from his peers. Speaking on his art, the rising creator from Hamilton in Canada exclaims, “Have you ever heard music that sounds different from the staples of the genre while being accessible to all listeners? That’s what I, Uda G am trying to do.”

He continues, “I’m surrounded by a toxic Toronto rap culture that promotes violence, crime, and drugs made me wanna step in and change it up. No more boring soulless trap beats, no more poisoning the youth, no more fake gangsta rap, I can’t rap about those things anyways, that’s not who I am! I feel that is my mission statement.”

The star cites Kanye West, Tyler The Creator, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake as his influences, although it certainly feels like Uda G is creating a sound of his own.

We love the intention and conscious effort that Uda G creates with, and have added Bad2TheBone to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Uda G including NARCISSIST, and On My Game.
