Immersing us with vocal textures, fused cohesively with a dynamic new wave meets synth pop soundscape, Hush Bewlay opens Bring It Down with atmospheric vocals and introspective prose.

The composition expands with dimensionality and melodic nuance to take us on a journey thought the spirit and psyche of the rising artist from Los Angeles. With a sense of nostalgia laced with futuristic sound design, we are in awe of the tapestry of sound that Hush Bewlay creates, as well as his poetic prowess and remarkable vocal timbre.

Bring It Down is a follow up to the star’s EP, I’m A Stranger Here Myself, and speaking on the soundscape created for the song, he confesses, “The track is a punchy, danceable synth track with modern indie pop and classic CBGB roots.”

Hush Bewlay goes on to add with reference to the message, “Bring It Down is a song about dealing with the monsters in our relationships and lives in general.” The rising artist references Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, and The CureĀ as some of his influences, which we can feel come though with the piece, although it is clear that Hush Bewlay is creating a universe of his own.

We deeply appreciate the emotional depth that Hush Bewlay shares, and the tangible authenticity that he exudes as a self-created, independent artist.
