The Reveal take us on an evocative and existential trip with Shadows Dancin

Drawing us in with an intricate bluegrass energy featuring guitar and mandolin, The Reveal open the studio version of Shadows Dancin with intrigue, dimensionality and charismatic, yet metaphorical prose. The video version of the opus opens with a moving and thought provoking monologue which allows us to take on a more introspective and existential nature with the creators.

We are in awe of the poetic prowess that The Reveal convey with their lyricism. Profound, and moving, relatable and simultaneously prophetic, Shadows Dancin has us understanding ourselves and the wider message of the band on a deeper level.

What makes The Reveal highly unique in their craft is their fusion of bluegrass sounds (mandolin, banjo, upright bass and fiddles) with hip hop production, adding a dynamic vibe to their output and setting them apart from their peers.

Shadows Dancin comes with an evocative music video directed by Steven C. Knapp and Brother Dusty, featuring a mesmerizing performance from the band and shadow figures of the devil and death. We appreciate the vibrancy of the composition, and how it takes us on a more high octane journey, mimicking the ebbs and flows of life.

The band features Josh Norfleet on guitar, Tristen Norfleet on mandolin, Brother Dusty on vocals and bass, and Ian Fleming on drums. The mandolin solo is simply out of this world.

We appreciate the concept of the song, and have added Shadows Dancin to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of The Reveal, including their EP, Down South!
