Samantha Gibb shares luscious and immersive version of Sorry, Not Sorry (The Echo Sessions)

We recently featured Samantha Gibb for her powerful and emotive single, Sorry Not Sorry, so when we heard that the star had also released The Echo Sessions version of the song, we couldn’t wait to experience it!

Drawing us in with a choral vocal arrangement and a glistening melodic detailing, Samantha Gibb opens the piece with a pristine vocal performance as she takes us on the journey of the song, “speeding down the 95″.

We are immediately in awe of the luscious harmonies, and how the alternative version of the opus is full of depth and authenticity with The Echo Sessions arrangement. The emotive nature of the piece is certainly amplified.

Samantha tells us, “It’s about growing up and growing a part from somewhere or someone that might not of been a great influence on you but how ultimately the experience helped you grow. It’s about living with no regrets and how everything that happens to you, the good and the bad, has only made you who you are today. It’s about empowerment and owning your own shit.”

Elaborating on the theme of Echoes: The Echo Sessions, which also includes two other tracks (stream below), Samantha confesses, “Echoes: The Echo Sessions is a collection of previous releases I have had earlier in the year. I wanted to create a softer, acoustic [meets] country take to all of them. This EP includes songs that are about empowerment, courage, love, connection, community and even the holidays.”

We love the diverse skillset of Samantha Gibb and how she is able to impeccably translate her art through different mediums of sound. Naturally, we have added The Echo Sessions version of Sorry, Not Sorry to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the original, and the wider offering of The Echo Sessions including Good Lovin’, and Christmas in a Small Town.
