Last year, we had the honour of following the rise of Anniballi Davide, the Italian composer, also known as Davide Anniballi, so when we learnt that the talented maestro had just released, A Great Day, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Setting the tone with a luscious strings arrangement and mesmerizing, enigmatic, piano, A Great Day opens with intrigue and dimensionality as the composer invokes the bright and evocative allure of sunrise. The cinematic composition advances to take us on a journey, akin to the perfect day.
The piece is inspiring, charming and laced with layered melodic detailing, which amplifies the experience on a more immersive level, showcasing the growth and evolution of the artist.
Speaking on the expansive the release, the composer confesses, “A Great Day is an orchestrated version of my song from a year ago. This is a piece of classical music accompanied by a video of female dancers and I hope that, listening to it, it will inspire the sensations evoked by the title.” We learn that this version was created with the collaboration of Michele Pellicani who performed the arrangement and mastering.
We appreciate the intention of the release to “inspire a sense of peace and lightness”, and are in awe of the choreographed visual, bringing to life Sristy Dutta‘s vision of the composition.
