Business Cashmere release authentic and introspective new single, Dance Alone

Drawing us in with a vibrant and dimensional soundscape, Business Cashmere open Dance Alone with atmospheric vocals and charisma as they share prose laced with poetic prowess.

Dance Alone showcases an essence of both vulnerability and charm as the Denver-based outfit convey their introspective nature and depth. The band describe the opus as “an upper and a downer all at once. Reflecting deep and grave loss happening in a party all the time atmosphere.”

They continue, “This song takes on the process of grieving alone even when you’re with the people you’re supposed to love the most. Isolated, and surrounded, the writer drifts through Europe trying to grasp an infinitely intangible love that has been gone all along.”

We deeply appreciate the theme of Dance Alone as Business Cashmere recount their experience and history in a relatable way. We learn that throughout bass player Tallon Comcowich’s recovery from leukaemia, “there were many factors that kept him going, but above all there was music.” The band’s connection with the art form is tangible, and Dance Alone is an exquisite example of this.

After years of Tallon Comcowich playing with his best friend and guitarist, George Till, the pair connected with singer Chris Galinski, whose background in musical theatre (The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Reefer Madness) has evidently brought a “powerful presence to the stage”, which we can feel come though in the more dramatic elements of the composition.

We have added Dance Alone to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Business Cashmere‘s wider discography and anticipate future releases from the talented trio!
