The Lowtones deliver introspective and emotive new single, Radio

Immersing us off the bat with a luscious alternative rock soundscape, with a distinctive electric guitar melody and dimensional nuance in the sound design, The Lowtones open Radio with introspective and vulnerable lyricism as they sing, “Tomorrow never ends, the never ending sorrow, catching tears as they descend…”

The opus expands with drama and depth, as the Norwich-based band share evocative themes and intricate instrumental performances to bring to life their experience, perspective and spirit.

Radio shares a nostalgic energy with a futuristic sound design, showcasing a hybrid of industrial grunge and nu metal. We appreciate the poetic prowess that the band deliver with their prose.

Speaking on the message of Radio, the band confess, “This is a stalemate of intrusive thoughts, and the battle against a self-critical inner narrative.” They go on to tell us with reference to their wider work, “We simply express the hardships of modern life and love.”

The Lowtones formed in Norwich in early 2020, and the four-piece consists of Oliver ‘Mav’ Mavilio on vocals, brothers Jack Abbott on guitar, and George Abbott on drums, with Tim Cary performing guitar.

We love the message and authenticity that The Lowtones convey with their artistry, and have added Radio to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from the talented creatives, and continue to stream their wider discography including their EP, Front Row Empty.
