Joshua Ketchmark reminisces on narrative-driven new opus, No Stopping Us

Last year, we featured Joshua Ketchmark for his powerful and emotive single, Tazewell County Line, and the profound and evocative single, Death Trap, so when we learned that he was starting off 2023 with the release of the aptly titled, No Stopping Us, we couldn’t wait to experience it!

Establishing the mood with an intimate frequency and strummed guitar, Joshua Ketchmark opens No Stopping Us with situational prose as he sings, “She was in mint condition the day I got her, passed down to me from my father, he had inherited grandma’s Cadillac and the day I saw the Chevy, there was no turning back…”

We learn that No Stopping Us is the opening track and fourth single from Joshua Ketchmark‘s tenth studio album, BLOOD and is a meaningful opus about coming of age. We appreciate the narrative-based storytelling that Joshua conveys so authentically and love the emotive chorus as the star sings, “We were right outside of glory!”

Joshua Ketchmark never fails to deliver an immersive experience with his art, and No Stopping Us is no exception as he reflects on his reality with a cohesive tapestry of sound perfectly fusing alternative country and Americana.

Naturally, the song was written by our protagonist and is based on his own experiences growing up two and half hours south of Chicago, Illinois. The track features luscious harmonies from C.C. Wyle, along with Zak. St. John (Black Star Riders/Stevie Wonder) playing drums and adding percussion, Ger Hoffman performs bass whilst the organ is performed by Michael Webb (Chris Stapleton, Dave Hause), and electric guitars by Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Morgan Wade).

No Stopping Us comes with a signature Joshua Ketchmark visual where the star brings to life his journey through a cinematic lens and mesmerizing performance. We always appreciate watching Joshua Ketchmark‘s visuals which add so much depth to his already profound stories.

We have added No Stopping Us to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Joshua Ketchmark‘s album BLOOD on repeat!
